We first fell in love with Silkies in the early Fall of 2010 and have been hatching continuously and have several wonderful blood lines including Aimee Crego, Mary Robinson, Bobbi Porto and more. We presently have Blues, Black, Splashes, partridges, white silkies and Buff silkies.... Many new babies are not even pictured!
Silkies are wonderful little "setters" too. They will like to lay an egg or two and then immediately begin to turn into a broody and try to set a hatch of babies. We have a broody named Midnight who sad on an "imaginary" roost with imaginary eggs and had imaginary chicks!!! We sat her on a nest of eggs but she preferred just to sit on the perch for weeks! Love love lover our sweet silkies!
